At Koa Pediatric Therapy, play is at the heart of everything we do. It’s our mission to guide your little warriors on a journey of growth and discovery through evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.

Services

  • Our occupational therapy services provide children with the skills they need to participate fully in activities that are meaningful and necessary for their growth and development. Activities include dressing, eating, bathing, writing, and drawing. When children are able to navigate these tasks, they’re better able to engage with the world around them and explore the passions and hobbies that bring them joy and fulfillment.

  • Whether your child has an aversion to certain foods or is lacking the strength and control required to eat comfortably, we are here to help your picky eaters and problem feeders. During our sessions, we create a nurturing environment where your child can explore new tastes at their own pace through a creative, play-based approach. It’s our goal to make mealtime fun again for your family!

  • The first few years of life lay the foundation for a child’s social, emotional, behavioral, and emotional health. Developmental delays in these areas happen all the time and are often unavoidable, but that doesn’t mean their impact can’t be minimized. We will work with your child to help them become more in tune with their bodies, providing them with greater awareness and agency over how they show up in the world.

  • Caretakers often feel stressed and helpless when it comes to their child’s challenges. We believe in arming caretakers with the knowledge and tools needed to play an active role in supporting their child’s developmental needs. Topics we can discuss include:

    • Developmental milestones

    • Preparing for a child with complex needs

    • Feeding challenges

    • Torticollis/Plagiocephaly

    • Fine motor skills

    • Gross motor skills

    • When/How to seek professional support

DISCoVERY CALL

Our discovery call for pediatric occupational therapy is the first step towards understanding your child's unique needs and how occupational therapy can support your child’s development and well-being. This call provides an opportunity for us to connect, discuss your concerns, and explore how our specialized services can make a positive difference in your child's life.

in-Person SErvices

In-person sessions can take place in the comfort of clients’ homes or in public spaces geared toward play and exploration. These settings yield great results because kids tend to be most attentive and engaged in familiar, every day settings. Caretakers are encouraged to watch and ask questions in order to feel confident that they can continue to reinforce the learnings and behaviors in between sessions.

*In-home services are currently being offered in North Phoenix/Scottsdale
