dr. lindsey sandys

Hi, I’m Dr. Lindsey Sandys, founder and owner of Koa Pediatric Therapy. I’m a doctor of occupational therapy and a feeding therapist with a passion for early childhood intervention (I also happen to be a first-time mom with an infant of my own at home). I started my own practice because I believe healthcare needs to move toward a more holistic, client-centered approach. That’s why I strive to build relationships grounded in clear communication, support, and trust. It’s my job to make sure the caretakers and child leave each session feeling empowered and informed so that they can confidently apply what we worked on together when they get back home. When you work with me, prepare for lots of laughing and fun because at the end of the day, your child’s work is PLAY! I'm excited for the opportunity to get to know you better and to play a part in your child’s journey.

My Mission:

To create a space where parents and children feel seen, heard, and challenged through meaningful, individualized care that nurtures growth, development, and well-being. By fostering early milestones and enhancing quality of life (for caretakers too), I aim to create lasting impact, deliver hope, and enable families to shine.

Some of my favorite ways to spend my spare time include relaxing with my family, going to the beach, watching movies, sipping iced oat milk vanilla lattes, and getting freezes at Pressed!

I love to travel! My favorite destinations are Iceland, Mallorca, and the Amalfi Coast. It is too hard for me to choose just one!

I decided to become an occupational therapist in college when I mentored a young girl named Tori. Tori has Down syndrome and watching her grow up sparked my love for OT!

I love to incorporate movement into my day! I grew up dancing and continued doing so through college. I’m a certified cycling instructor and love taking spin, pilates and circuit-training classes. Prior to having my son, I got into running, and I completed a half marathon at Walt Disney World, which is something I’d like to do again soon!

Becoming a mom has been the most beautiful, but challenging part of my life. I think moms (dads too….but MOMS) are superheroes. I have such a new found respect for women. We are INCREDIBLE.
